The restaurant takes its name from an archaeological artifact, of Etruscan origin and Roman manipulation dating back to 1400, found within the walls following to renovation works.

The family management gives to Il Colonnino restaurant a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere, while the walls and the stone vaults give the guest the sensation of a dinner in a real old-time tavern.

The dishes are those typical of Tuscan cuisine, always prepared following the original recipes handed down for generations. You should definitely try the Peposo di “Mucco Pisano” and the Tagliata di Chianina, with the best choice of meat coming from the Pisan Hinterland.

Reception and devotion are our watchwords! Every day our staff welcomes customers with enthusiasm and cordiality, committing to meet every need of families, groups of tourists or individual guests who choose our restaurant for a simple business lunch.

In addition, our customers can choose, within our menus, among a wide range of typical Tuscan dishes, as well as options for specific needs, such as vegetarian or gluten-free dishes.

Open for lunch and dinner every day except Wednesday night, we offer a double proposal: a lighter, simpler and quicker one for a business lunch, and the other of the tradition of flavors and taste for evening meals.

Availability also for planning important evenings, events, anniversaries, graduations, with menus to be agreed from time to time.

Our desserts

Your meal can not end without having tried one of our homemade sweets, using the method and recipe of “grandma”. The creams that enrich our desserts are made with fresh and farm-to-table eggs, ingredients with which we also make the bases of cakes and sponge cake.

At your disposal there are traditional desserts of Italian pastries, like the creamy Tiramisù, the panna cotta, a fabulous mix of the soft consistency of the pudding and the creamy of panna cream and milk, the profitterol and a variety of seasonal cakes.
